Hannover Messe is the world’s leading trade fair for the manufacturing industry, attracting 110,000 visitors from around the globe this year. At the joint “Quantum Technologies” booth in the “Research & Industry Transfer” section, MQV presented itself alongside startups in the field of quantum technologies – including the MQV startup planqc – and quantum initiatives from other German states.
There was great interest in the current state of quantum computer development, the opportunities this technology promises, and the risks it may entail. For the industry representatives present, the potential benefits of quantum computing for their respective sectors and opportunities for early collaboration with a network like the MQV were particularly relevant.
A highlight of the program was the visit by the “Quantum Future Women” network of the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space to the communal area and the MQV booth. 24 women from the fields of quantum technologies and photonics gained special insight into various quantum topics and took advantage of the exclusive opportunity to network both with each other and with the exhibiting companies.
