Quantum Talents Symposium in Munich

Munich Quantum Valley (MQV), together with other local partners, is supporting the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) in organizing the "Quantum Talents Symposium" on 16 and 17 September 2024 in Munich. Young talents from the quantum sciences are invited to apply as symposium finalists.

The mission of the Quantum Talents Symposium is to provide a platform for emerging young scientists to share their knowledge and spark collaboration. The event brings together top PhD students and postdocs from around the world to present their groundbreaking research in the field of quantum science and technology. The program will be complemented by lab tours in Munich's leading quantum research groups at the Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ).

Until 15 April 2024, excellent doctoral students and outstanding young postdocs can apply to be selected for one of ten finalist presentations. The three best presentations will receive monetary prizes and an award.

A particular aim of the event is to increase diversity in the quantum sciences and create a more inclusive environment.

Further information and a link to the application can be found on the MCQST website.

The symposium is organized by MCQST together with Munich Quantum Valley (MQV), the International Max Planck Research School for Quantum Science and Technology (IMPRS-QST), the Women in Quantum Optics Postdoctoral Program (WiQO) of the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, LMU Munich and TU Munich.
