March is a busy month for the physics community with the conference season really kicking off. In Berlin, Freiburg and Minneapolis, MQV presented itself to a national and international crowd of around 20,000 visitors of the events in total.
MQV at the DPG Spring Meetings
With more than 6,000 visitors, the DPG Spring Conference of the Condensed Matter Section (SKM) is the biggest of the DPG Spring Meetings and the biggest physics conference in Europe, this year taking place in Berlin from 17 to 22 March. One week earlier, from 10 to 15 March, MQV was taking part at the DPG Spring Meeting of the Atoms, Molecules, Quantum Optics and Photonics Section (SAMOP) in Freiburg. Both times the MQV booth was well visited. Especially prospective Ph.D. candidates took the chance to have a personal, in-depth talk with MQV representatives about possible career opportunities within the MQV ecosystem.
MQV at the APS March Meeting
To present Munich Quantum Valley and the wider Bavarian quantum ecosystem to a predominantly international audience, MQV took again part in the APS March Meeting from 3 to 8 March in Minneapolis. After being part of the “Research in Germany” booth last year in Las Vegas, MQV welcomed visitors to its own booth this year to talk about research and career opportunities at all levels, as well as partnership opportunities for the industry. As the biggest physics conference in the world, the APS March Meeting 2024 connected around 13,000 physicists across academia, industry and major labs. The MQV booth was correspondingly well attended.
