Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften and Munich Residenz

Together with the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts as well as MCQST and the Heisenberg Association, MQV is hosting a scientific conference along with a state reception to celebrate and reflect on a century of quantum science and to explore the breakthroughs that continue to shape our future.

Note that the events are by invitation only!

One hundred years ago, Werner Heisenberg revolutionized physics with his ground breaking contributions to quantum mechanics. Today, Heisenberg’s legacy continues to thrive in Bavaria at the Munich Quantum Valley, a flagship initiative established under the Hightech Agenda Bayern.

Guided by the motto "100 Years of Quantum: From Theory to Transformation", this high-level scientific conference will bring together 350 leading experts, researchers, and innovators from Germany and around the globe. Join us as we celebrate a century of discoveries and discuss how quantum technologies will continue to transform science, industry, and society.

In the afternoon, invited participants can look forward to an inspiring program featuring:

  • Welcome adresses by the Bavarian Minister-President and the Bavarian State Minister of Science and the Arts as well as other political representatives
  • Keynote speeches by internationally renowned speakers on the future potential of quantum technologies
  • A thought-provoking panel discussion on “Sovereignty in Quantum Technologies: Creating Boundary Conditions for Germany and Europe”

The Bavarian Quantum Day will conclude in the evening with a state reception at the historic Munich Residence – a fitting backdrop to honor the past while looking ahead to the future of quantum innovation.

Please note that both events are by invitation only!
