The Theory of Quantum Technology Group at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, lead by professor Michael J. Hartmann invites applications for a postdoc position in quantum algorithms and quantum simulation.The positions will be part of the Bavarian and German programs to develop quantum computers, see e.g. https://www.munich-quantum-valley.de and https://www.quantentechnologien.de/.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in quantum algorithms for the simulation of many-body systems (dynamics and or preparation of specific states) and candidates with expertise in applications in optimization problems, including quantum machine learning approaches.
We offer a full E13 salary of the TVL scheme and an initial contract for 24 month that can be extended further.
