MQV and IBM Quantum present quantum technologies from research to application at the World of QUANTUM

Munich Quantum Valley (MQV), a leading German quantum hub, and IBM Quantum will host experts from academia and industry to present at their joint World of QUANTUM program: "Quantum Technologies: From Research to Application". The full-day program will take place 29 June 2023 as part of the World of QUANTUM fair in Munich (27–30 June 2023).

The program, located at the "Forum Quantum Science & Industry" stage at Hall A1 at the Munich exhibition grounds, covers a breadth of topics with one common focus: research on useful applications of quantum technologies applications, in particular quantum computing.

During the course of the day, the latest developments in quantum hardware platforms, quantum algorithms, quantum computing and high-performance computing integration, as well as some of the most promising quantum computing applications will be examined. The program is aimed at everyone who wants to explore and discuss recent research and relevant quantum technology use cases. An up-to-date agenda can be found at https://indico.munich-quantum-valley.de/e/WoQ23-QC-research-to-application.

Throughout the four days Munich becomes the beating heart of the European quantum community. World of QUANTUM will offer ample opportunities to meet leading companies and networks in the international quantum community. All accompanied by MQV’s and IBM Quantum’s “Quantum Technologies: From Research to Application” supporting program and a two-day Qiskit hackathon organized by IBM Quantum and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

After a very successful launch with around 9000 visitors in 2022, the World of QUANTUM is set to become an important platform for the quantum community with an even more diverse program this year. The integration into the framework of the LASER World of PHOTONICS gives visitors of the World of QUANTUM the chance to explore synergies between these major fields. One ticket gives access to both trade fairs as well as the “automatica” that takes place at the same time.
