Superconducting Qubits and Algorithms Conference 2023 in Munich

Around 400 people from all over the world participated in the second edition of the Superconducting Qubits and Algorithms (SQA) Conference taking place 29 August - 1 September 2023. The conference was jointly organized by IQM Quantum Computers, Technical University of Munich and Munich Quantum Valley.

For four days, Munich became the heart of the superconducting qubits and algorithms community. At the Science Congress Center Munich, industry representatives, researchers and students met and mingled, made new connections and renewed existing partnerships.

An extensive lecture program with scientific sessions ranging from error correction to fabrication and materials to applications of superconducting qubits beyond computing covered the whole bandwidth of the field. The scientific program was complemented by poster sessions. Additionally, attendees were able to participate in workshops held by experts from the industry to get  hands-on experience in quantum technologies.

A deeper insigth into different institutions was also possible with a couple of side events, taking participants on tours to Walther-Meißner-Institute (WMI), the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) or kiutra. A walking tour through Munich was available to all attendees who wanted to get to know the hosting city a bit better.

After the very successful second edition, the SQA Conference will be back next year in Delft.

All lectures were streamed live and are available on the SQA Conference YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@sqaconference/streams
